Regenesis December: Clarity Is Kindness
Prayer + Fasting Guide
As we enter the month of December, we step into a season that naturally invites reflection, anticipation, and renewal. For our church family, this is a time to seek the Lord with intentional clarity—because clarity, rooted in God’s truth, is an act of kindness. When we understand His Word, His calling, and His mission for us, we are better equipped to walk in unity, love, and purpose.
Together, we will seek clarity in four key areas:
grounding ourselves in God’s Word,
recognizing the gifts He has placed in our church body,
honestly assessing the community we are called to reach, and
embracing our collective mission as followers of Jesus.
As you walk through this guide, take your time with each Scripture, each prayer prompt, and each moment of reflection. Ask the Lord to reveal what He desires to do in you, in your family, and in our church.
Clarity Comes from His Word
Read Psalm 119:105
Prayer Prompt: Father, help us, and our leaders seek wisdom and truth from your word. May our actions and decisions be directly affected by your word.
Reflect: How are we, or how can we, as a church, remain faithfully anchored to God’s Word through decisions and change?
Clarity Come from Knowing Our Gifting
Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-14
Prayer Prompt: We thank you, Lord for how You have built our church. It is Your fantastic design. You are doing the work to build us up! Help us see the gifting of the Holy Spirit in each other
Reflect: How are we identifying the gifts and strengths of out current church body? Are we working from our strengths and our gifting provided by the Holy Spirit?
Clarity Comes from Honest Assessment
Read Acts 1:8
Prayer Prompt: Lord, help us to understand, and know who we are called to reach, specifically, our Jerusalem. Please help us understand how to reach our local community more effectively for you.
Reflect: How well do we know the community we are trying to reach with the gospel of Jesus Christ?
Clarity Comes from a Collective Mission
Read Matthew 28:19-20
Prayer Prompt: Lord, help us embrace our church’s mission and vision. Help us to be unified in our mission to reach others in our community. Help us to hold each other up. Help us!
Reflect: How do we expect our church to function? Are we more dependent of the pastors reaching people or our pastors and leaders empowering us?
